PE and Sport Premium
The Sports Premium is Government funding allocated to schools to improve the quality of the PE and sporting activities it offers pupils.
At Ladygrove, we have a funding allocation of £18,400 which is funded annually from April to March. It is based on an eligible number of 378 pupils to make additional and sustainable improvement to the quality of PE and range of sporting activities we offer.
At Ladygrove, we are keen to develop all children’s love of sports and keeping fit. We use our School Sport’s Funding to give the children of Ladygrove a wide range of sporting and fitness experiences. We ensure that all of the children gain lots of opportunities to take part in a wide range of competitions against children from other schools locally.
In the academic year 2019-2020 90.5% of our Year 6 children could swim 25m by the time they left. We teach swimming in the autumn term and therefore by Christmas will have figures for the current Year 6 cohort in the following areas:
- % of children who can swim 25m: 90.5%
- % of children who can use a range of strokes effectively: 90.5%
- % of children who can perform a rescue in different water based situations: 30%
