Year 1 have had a fantastic week this week. They got off to an incredible start and enjoyed participating in all of the races for Sports Day. They really did do so well and we were so proud of them! They have also enjoyed their maths lessons this week and particularly enjoyed looking at the different coins we use in England. Year 1 also created some beautiful sunset pictures which we will add silhouettes to next week. Last but not least, the children loved creating their own double page spreads about the 4 seasons in the UK. What an amazing week year 1, well done!

Year 1 have had a wonderful week at school taking part in lots of lovely celebrations. We particularly enjoyed dressing up as superheroes on Thursday and had a ‘super’ day! We also enjoyed painting our own portraits of the Queen and creating our own crowns for our parade.

Have an absolutely fantastic week off year 1! You have worked ever so hard and we could not be prouder of you. Please keep up with the reading over half term and go through the packs sent home so that you are ready to show off in the phonics screen when we return on June 6th!
