A message from our Chair of Governors

Message from the Chair of Governors.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you the warmest of welcomes to Ladygrove Primary School & Nursery.

As a Governing Body, we are extremely committed and motivated to ensure every child at Ladygrove Primary School & Nursery has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We do this by placing equality, diversity, inclusivity, care, and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.

The greatest measure of our effectiveness as a school, is by the progress pupils make (socially, emotionally, and academically) during their time at Ladygrove.

Governors regularly visit the school or hold Team meetings with staff and children, as well as attending training sessions so Governors can be as effective as possible in their roles.

Our core functions as Governors are:-

  • Setting the strategic vision and direction of the school.
  • Holding the Head Teacher to account for the school’s educational performance.
  • Ensuring financial resources are well spent.
  • Safe guarding and health and safety

As parents and carers, you are an integral part of our school life and community, and we value your thoughts, suggestions, and feedback.

Therefore, should you have any specific questions or comments for the Governing Body, please do not hesitate to make contact via the school office.

We very much look forward to working with you over the coming months and years.

Below you can read a number of documents that relate to the governing body of our school. If you’d like to find out more about the people who form our governing body, you can read a who’s who over on our Governor page.
